Margaret Rose Sanders, affectionately known as GiGi to her many loved ones, left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her. As a beloved beautician and entrepreneur, she spent over 50 years operating Marg's Beauty Salon in Sulphur Springs, Texas, bringing joy and beauty to countless women in the community.

Born on July 7, 1939, in Hopkins County, Texas, Margaret was raised with a strong sense of faith and values. She accepted Christ at an early age at Ardis Street Church of Christ and went on to graduate from Douglas High School in Sulphur Springs in 1956. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Floyd Sanders Jr., whom she married on August 5, 1956.

Margaret's passion for beauty led her to attend Sweatt's Beauty School, where she earned her Cosmetologist license from the State of Texas. For over five decades, she owned and operated Marg's Beauty Salon, providing a haven for women seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and self-care. Her dedication to her craft was unmatched, as she continued to work until her passing on April 18, 2021.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family and friends, showering them with love, laughter, and generosity. Her impeccable Sunday dress and coordinating Church hats were legendary, reflecting her deep commitment to her faith and community.

Margaret's love for Christ was evident in every aspect of her life. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Ladies Bible Class Teacher, and Sunday dinner host to many preachers and their families at MLK Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Her legacy extends far beyond the walls of her church, as she touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Margaret is survived by her children, Casedral (Marszell) Adams, Floyd Byron Sanders Jr., Yvette Holloway, and Rodney (Schree) Sanders; grandchildren, Adarius (Savannah) Adams, Brittany (Kris) Adams, Jameka (Aaron) Jones, Shakia (Chris) Knox, Chris Ivey, Stefani Ivey, Michael (Angel) Nelson Jr., Zachary Sanders, Johnathan (Cierra) McIntosh, and Toi McIntosh; great-grandchildren, 14 lovingly referred to as her GiGi's; and a host of extended family members.

As we celebrate Margaret's life, we are reminded that true beauty comes from within. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear GiGi.
